Lesser Slave Lake is a large lake located in Central Alberta:   130 miles northwest of Edmonton and 400 miles south of the Great Slave Lake (in the Northwest Territories).   It is 60 miles long by 12 miles wide  with a maximum depth of around 60 ft.  It is the third largest lake in Alberta after Lake Athabasca (shared with Saskatchewan) and Lake Claire.
